You must finish the book and notes for Tuesday. Friday will be a work day in class, so you will have the time after the quiz if you need it. If you finish early, try not to give away the ending. In the vocabulary section of your notebook, write the part of speech and definition for each word: (root=contra, counter-against) contraindication, contravene, counterclaim, counterintuitive, contraband, contrast, counterfeit, contraceptive, counterculture. Tonight you should work on your letter to me that you began in class. It is due by FRIDAY, but I would be happy to take it tomorrow if you finish it. Review characters and important plot points to prepare for The Book Thief test. Test is tomorrow. Wednesday (9/6): Book Thief test! Thursday (9/7): Bring your book to class today. We will discuss several aspects of the book as you decide what to write about in your analytical essay. Friday (9/8): Essay thesis due today (just the claim/thesis).
